I guess a lot of things in the Gen2 vs Gen3 discussions are a matter of taste and I can see both points of view. However, the one thing that I can't accept is that tacky "blue neon" decal under the Toyota emblem. I think it looks really cheesy and can't believe it will stand up over time.

Toyota U.S.A. fought hard to get rid of it, but Japan won.

Toyota is adding this "blue" to all Toyota and Lexus hybrids as of 2010 to delineate hybrid vs. non-hybrid at a glance.

Funny thing is some of the Detroit prototypes didn't have this, whereas others did.

I dunno; it doesn't look so bad with my Classic Silver (or White).

If I had any other color, I guess I'd be upset too.

Like - Red? As in my car, picking up Saturday. You can bet the medallion will be transitioned to any other color but blue or green very soon....

I can understand how Toyota wanted a common image/color for their Hybrid models, but.... Kudos for Toyota USA pushing back. Nice try folks.

Too bad it won't interchange with the Gen II - I'd trade you since I have a blue pinstripe on my silver '06.

It is a bit of a harsh contrast on the red, I must admit...
