I tried to sync my new iPod nano 7th gen to my car's Bluetooth, but the connection failed. I tried to add it as a new phone. My iPod found the connection, I typed in the code, but the Prius Bluetooth wouldn't finish the connection.

Will my car only sync with phones?

I answered my own question. Doh, you can't add it as a phone. Go to Set Up, Audio, Bluethooth and add it as a portable device. Works great.

I just got a 7th gen Nano and have the same problem. I went to Set up/audio/bluebooth on the Prius, but the Nano doesn't show up. HOWEVER, on the Nano screen it lists my cell phone (which it keeps trying to connect to.

To sync your phone go to Set Up and then Phone. To sync your iPod go to Set Up and Audio.
