Has anyone been able to find body side mouldings in the new 2012 blue (Nautical Blue Met.) 8S6 is the color code I believe. We traded in our 2009 (blue) Prius for a 2012 in Feb this year. The dealer showed us the color online as he hadn't recieved one yet. Well the pic. he showed had the mouldings on it and labeled as an option. Well we loved the color and ordered the car, as it was due to arrive at the dealer within 5 days. We also tried to order the mouldings at that time but the color was too new to order it at that time. They contacted Toyota (Supposedly) and was told 4-6 weeks. It has been 6 months and they don't know when they will get them yet! I have tried here at the Prius Chat shop, and even contacted Sparks Toyota..... no luck so far.... Any Ideas what to do next?? Unfortunately my wife works at a school system and there is NO safe place to park. She already got 1 good ding and school is almost in session, so I really need to react soon. The mouldings REALLY saved us on the 2009. The dealer removed them before reselling as they were soo nicked up! Thanks for the help......
You could order a set in black. Put them on until the nautical blue shows up. Cheaper then fixing dings in the door.
