If you compare the base prices of the Yaris and the Prius C they are both about the same except with the C you get the Hybrid battery worth $2500-4000 depending on the price tag by Toyota. The Prius C is a great bargain. If I didn't want the Pip more, I would buy one.

    Just a question.

Has anyone ever seen a Prius c 1? Anyone Buy one?

Toyota says Prius c starts at $18,950 but it seems those entry level models are pretty rare.

I would just be curious if anyone has been able to purchase one. I've never read a post from a Prius c 1 owner yet.

My dealer offered me a Summer Rain C 1 a couple weeks ago - I turned it down and am still waiting for my SR C II - reserved 02/17. I also saw another C 1 at the dealer in white - the non-split rear seat is a deal breaker for me.

Seems like Hawaii got a mix of Cs.

Do you need child seats? If you need 3 seats I'd suggest almost certainly not. 3 in a Prius liftback requires 2 narrow child seats and the c is narrower.

Otherwise it would depend on the size of you and your children. And for comfort, the frequency of traveling fully loaded.

Find a dealer with one and take the family. Tell them not to say anything while you're on the lot because salesmen will try to up-sell to a larger vehicle, using everything they can, including whining children.

PS I was a child in a family of 5 (dad 5' 11", mum 5' 4", 3 children grew up to 6' 3", 6' and 5' 11") and rode mostly in the back of subcompacts and compacts and I don't hold any resentment towards my parents for the squeeze. (I don't know how my brothers feel, though. ;)) Just stop with reasonable frequency to let them stretch their legs. ;)

Yeah I'd say it's a bad idea. Not just because of passenger volume, but because the trunk is so tiny you'll be unable to go anywhere farther than the nearest shopping mall as a family…and even then you'd have nowhere to put your purchases :p

EletricMe — there's a separate thread about whether a One is worth it, plenty of owners on there with Ones. I test drove a One myself about 3 weeks ago.

Sales of Toyota's Prius have gone over the top in the first quarter, hinting that perhaps hybrid automobiles may become popular in the end. The Prius arrived 15 years ago as an "outsider," and now it is the third biggest-seller on the planet. Prius third best selling car in first quarter

Could anyone advise me how much to discount for 3300 mile on Prius C off the MSRP? Dealer called on my new Prius C Trim 2 inquiry and offered one that came back from a month++ sales

    I just registered to post.

I drove home today a new Prius C Package 4 Super White came with 15" Wheels w/Sunroof Sunshade, Carpet Floor Mats/Trunk Mat, Rear Bumper Protector and Cargo Net for $24, 042.24: is it a good deal or I got ripped off?

I've seen somewhere people posted they can get over 100 M/gl: how's that possible?

In January 2013 I bought a prius C type 2 for 19,650, out the door. This price includes everything but sales tax and registration. I have 3000+ miles and I like the car.
The car was purchased in northern NJ.
