We're thinking of getting a Prius v but can wait a few months if the new 2013s might drop the price on the 2012s a little. Any speculation as to when the 2013s will be announced? August? December? I'm not familiar with Toyota's release cycles. Thanks.

When I asked my dealership if the 2013's were anywhere close,
I was answered that they wont be seeing them until November.

This is what I was told, of course this will vary depending on location,
    dealer allotment and sales.

The 2012 is in such demand that there will not likely be many left over 2012's when the 2013's arrive.

So, don't count on much of a "clearance" discount.

    Changes might only be cosmetic.

I'd also anticipate a price increase or two before then, which, effectively, could just wipe out any perceived price advantage. Considering the technology, build qualiity, features and the value of the dollar vs the yen, I still believe these cars to be way underpriced!!

I wouldn't expect '13 models until at least september. Toyota is pretty consistent about releasing their cars in september if it is just a carryover (like the v will be for '13). Refreshes or full redesigns come out anywhere from March (last Sienna, Corolla) to December ('12 Prius liftback).

Does anyone know if sea glass green will be offered on the '13 v? That is the only thing keeping the wife and I from getting one, we really love that color!

East coast will be a month after west coast. It's a guess, but I've seen Toyota do September and I've seen them December. Considering I doubt there will be any change aesthetically for 13', October would be my guess.

We couldn't wait either we went to 3 dealerships (different cities) and got ours for "dealer cost" with all weather floor mats, carpeted floor mats, hood deflecter, wheel locks, 215/50/17 hankook snow tires (without rims), cargo net, gee iI can't remember if there was anything else?????
So they are willing to deal already.

This s probably the wrong place to ask, but I'm a noob! How did you get 0% financing?

Is there a section here that helps explain how to best o about buying a Prius? I mean getting the best price within reason, financing, etc.

    THANKS!
