Can anyone send me to a place to get instructions on bulb replacement and best place to buy? Much appreciated.

Any auto parts store is going to have the wedge incandescent bulbs. I take my burned out one inside and buy the same wattage.

Your rear light assembly is the same as the UK/European assembly. I had to replace one a short while ago, and could find no aftermarket assembly for the later silver stop lamp, that was legal here to use. So had to buy OEM. As you say the US versions are different, and although available here I would have needed to buy two to match negating any saving. Then there was the likelihood of failing our MOT test.
