Many of the owners (below) reported to break 200,000 miles already. I thought it is time to start the 300,000 miles club.

    • Devil's Advocate (2005)
    • nikfish (2001)
    • green taxi (2006)
    • NYC TAXI (2006)
    • heffd (????)
    • k4141222 (????)
    • ea8631 (2001)
    • MacGuffin (2001)
    • kristi (2002)
    • ktk (2004)

The following owners have broken past 300,000 miles:

Please post information about your ownership experience. Some questions to think of...

    1) Did you replace the HV battery pack?
    2) Did you replace the hybrid transaxle fluid?
    3) Did you replace the brake pads?
    4) Your lifetime MPG (if available)?
    5) How often do you change your oil? What brand / product did you use?
    6) How about post a picture of 300,000 miles on ODO?
    7) Are you the original owner?
    8) How many miles under your ownership?
    9) Feel free to add anything else you wish to share

I requested to change the title because brownsnoutuk reported that his 2005 Odometer would not go over 299,999 miles!

I think I read about a Gen I that went some 350,000 before being
rendered unusable in an accident. How was that mileage measured?

For the record, what does happen when the Prius' odometer reaches
    299,999 miles:
Does it just freeze at 299,999, or
Does it roll-over, and restart at 0, or
    Does it go blank?

In the event of the first or last above, what would you do when a
mileage reading is required, i.e., when sold, or in some cases on
    registration renewal?

This issue doesn't and never will occur that frequently.

Wouldn't it be cool if Toyota gave the car owner a new
    multi-meter/odometer at 299,999.

    EDIT:
OK, I see what's going on. brownsnoutuk posted to and reopened
    this old thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...ion/67859-odometer-limited-299-999-miles.html

No answer there, some odos stopped at 299,999, others appear to
    have gone higher.:noidea:

I am really surprised nobody has used and gen 2 for work or something else that goes 250+ miles a day. On my work truck which was an 04 I just hit 473K before it wrecked which is why i now have the Prius and what I need to know is the 300K problem fixed because 300K is hardly anything to boast about.

Wow, I've had my 2008 for as long as my signature line reads and as of today only have 14,450 Miles.

I do my oil changes @ 5k intervals, and rotated the tires front to back @ 10k.

I'm currently looking for some new all-season tires as these are getting hard and snow traction is not all that great.

I just purchased Arctic claws I think made by Cooper, These are snow tires if thats what you need. Not LRR either , but they are OK in snow and wet at moderate speeds. Very cheap but good traction. This will be my third year as I mounted on rims. H

    or
    13000/15 = 867 miles a day

What do you do for a living. I thought I had it tough at ~average 300 miles a day M-F only.
