$300 rebate from Toyota

For those of us lucky enough to have ordered our Prius before Mar. 15 when the MSRP base price was increased by $300, a $300 rebate from Toyota should be forthcoming as per a letter sent from Toyota. This rebate is supposed to come from Toyota, not the dealer. I purchased my Prius on Apr. 8 and took delivery on Apr. 16 and, so far, after 6+ weeks, no rebate check. Anyone else received theirs and, if so, how long did it take to receive it? Anyone else still waiting?

Also still waiting... On the waiting list last October, got my car in the end of March.

Does anyone know if there is a form we all must fill out?

Date "ordered" my Prius: August 17th, 2003.

Date delivered": May 1st, 2004

Received $300 refund check, May 22nd. And, the bonus is, I didn't even send in the paper work. (Dianne is this your doing? If it is, you totally rock!!! Well, I mean, you rock already but still, it reconfirms that waiting for my Carson Toyota Prius was well worth it )

Received my check May 26.
No paperwork other than deposit slip.

I contacted Toyot about this to make sure I could still get one since I was on the "List" from one dealer but bought from another one. They assured me I would get the refund. Nothing yet though.

if you qualify for the lower MSRP then you should have
received a letter directly from TMS imforming you of the
price change and your rebate check.

I did get "the letter" saying that I would get a rebate. However, I bought a car from a different dealer than the one where I was on the list for so long.

Anyone know how Toyota is notified when you buy a car? I am getting Toyota "thanks for buying" letters and surveys so they know I bought one and they know I was on the list before assuming these are the same group/

i would have to think that it doesnt matter who you
bought the car from as the dealers have no control
whatsoever over the increaased price or rebate.

Got it! It was apparently waiting for me all weekend (or longer) as a house mail sorter obviously didn't work correctly.
