After 7 years, I'm changing my first tail light bulb on my '07 Touring. The bulb is a "37r"? Not a common bulb. Is there a replacement for these?

    Thanks!

Don't go by those markings on the bulb. You need to walk the bulb into your local auto parts store, or go to a chain tire/repair store (ie Firestone), to double check.

Toyota vehicle owners manual says its a 5Watt, wedge base bulb. LINK

Buy the LONG LIFE version and change both sides (right and left). Why? The other side will burn out soon. It will also be dim compared to the new bulb; this is esp noticeable with headlight bulbs and tail brake light bulbs (which doesn't apply to Prius b/c LED).

Is it an easy DIY to change bulbs? I have my first one on my 2007 tail light also.
