On a day when President Bush didn't realize that gas was over $3.00 a gallon throughout the US, analysts are predicting that we will see $4.00 a gallon gasoline costs by the time spring rolls around.
The main culprit is rising crude oil prices, which topped $102 a barrel Wednesday, before settling under $100. Reasons for the increase include the weakening U.S. dollar and reports that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates - a move that encourages energy speculators to pay more for oil and gas futures as a hedge against inflation, and which raises oil prices.
$4 gas coming by spring? Analysts think so
