    This should do something for the somewhat moribund EV sales at the moment. Esp. if the state governments actually do end up purchasing EVS themselves.

    I read this a half week ago on one of the NY times news feeds:

    Irony here is the OP link is 'dieseldriver'. Really? What ... does the diesel industry even care? In any event, and of greater importance, is not that 8 states are pushing ... but, IIRC, that the particular states amount to about 1/4 of all the registered vehicles.
