It shows a Lillyput touch screen working with a Canview V4 from Norm at www.hybridinterfaces.ca. The screen shows the ICE temperature.

IMHO the ECU seems to 'age-out' the earlier 'Idle-dance' after a preset time that we do not know.

IMHO the ECU seems to 'age-out' the earlier 'Idle-dance' after a pre-set time that we do not know even tho the Prius is Ready, this it indicates by dropping out of S4 and initiating another idle-dance at the next stop

If the ICE temperature is >185F it will attempt one but I think that it gets aborted to <10 seconds as I do not see the idle RPM getting tweaked above and around 960RPM.

Making the Gen2 'not ready' seems to reset to S1 as soon as the ECU is shuts down, Thermos pump stops.

If you slow to a stop and the ICE is OFF this is nirvana
If you slow to a stop and the ICE ON here comes the Idle-Dance which may or may not be truncated.

I am not sure if this aging process happens without the ECT Spoofer connected and the ICE temperature <185F.
I will have to run some tests without it as I have been running my 2008 with an ECT Spoofer connected for the past 20 months.

Any chance one of these can still be purchased?

Yes they are available for the Gen2 and Gen3.

What model Prius are you planning to use it on?

Main one I was asking about was for an 05. With this work on my PiP as well?

It will work with the 05 since that is a Gen2.

I do not know what the PiP wiring looks like so I cannot say.

I run a Prototype version on my 02 Mustang but it needs a part changed but I am very familiar with the wiring.

I got mine. It took a month to arrive, but went through customs without me having to pay anything.

    I'll install ASAP.

I have one of these spoofers and every once in awhile I get a P1116 code thrown. No warning icons or anything, the CEL just quietly comes on. This is the code for the "Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Stack for Coolant Heat Storage". Anyone else have this experience? I'm assuming it is from my ECT spoofer, since one of the potential causes of the code is (Note: CHS = thermos):

A significant difference (over 25!C [45!F]) exists between the engine coolant temperature signal and the CHS tank outlet temperature sensor signal after a predetermined length of time has elapsed from the start of the coolant recovering.

I just don't want to ignore a real problem with my actual temp sensor....

I also have the spoofer and one morning got P1116 after several very short trips. It went away after a few regular trips. This may indeed be caused by the "perceived" condition you quoted above.

P1116 is normal as long as you dont get it every time you start your car. I see it a hand full of times per year. Seems like it happens more in the winter time.

I've seen it too. It does tend to happen on an errand run involving several stops.
