A request for more vehicle choices in the user profiles

    I know this is PriusChat, and the focus is on the second generation through current Prius. (I have no idea why the first generation forum is hidden, but it is clearly unloved by the powers that be)

    However reality is that this is a premier site about all alternate vehicle choices. It would be great if those folks were able to specify the car they owned even if it was some other Toyota or Ford Hybrid, Leaf, Volt, or Tesla. (there will always be an other category, if only to hold Dodge Durango Hybrid owners and any actual Saturn Vue Two-mode owners)

    Folks in this thread are bemoaning the lack of a way to have a 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid as choice in a user's profile. As a person who tries to help, the more location and vehicle information in the profile, the better help I can be.

    As a mere user, I have no idea how complex the setup is for new car profiles, so I can't comment on the level of difficult this would impose on Danny. (I assume he does all the setup himself)

    Looking at the April number for Alternate vehicle sales over 1000 units:

    Hybrids

    Toyota Prius Liftback 12,432

    Diesel (I am including the Diesels as alternate vehicles, think of them as the loyal opposition)

    This would add 4 more Toyota made vehicles, 2 Fords, 2 GMs, 2 Hyundai made, 2 Volkswagens, a Tesla and a Nissan

    I think OP presented a very good list. I would however exclude Diesels since they are not electrified vehicles.

    Just thinking about it, well since I saw a new user sign up owning one and have to chose other EV, Danny never added the RAV 4 EV to the list... Maybe that can be fixed when time allows for it? (y)

    While I don't see much reason to populate the choice list with lots of diesel models, it would seem nice to at least be able to show fuel type, e.g. 'other (diesel)', 'other (CNG)', and at some point in the future, 'other (hydrogen)'.
