See resolution below - OK, the air bag light on the dashboard has come on. I took the car into my dealership (Fro which I have lost all trust over other matters, but who else do you take your Prius to?) The upsoht is they said they'd have to rip the interior apart to track the problem or break in the wiring and the cost would be $3000. "Break in the floor wiring harness." I noted another post where the owner was outraged because his dealership was going to charge $500. ! Does this make the care unsafe? Will air bags not deploy in an accident? Is this estimate "usual?" So, it turns out jiggling the wires under the seats and pressing the connetions to make sure they are in - was my free solution. (Another owner on this forum did the same to check his problem he was quoted $1500. to fix....) After doing this, the dashboard airbag light was out. WHY DIDN'T THE DEALERSHIP DO THE SAME?!
