I am getting real close to installing an air horn. Before I do... is it going to void my warrentee???
If you fry the horn's electrical system yes you might have warranty problems. For the hybrid components, Toyota would need to "prove" that your changes caused a problem with the factory parts. Good Luck

Ima speckin bout what I be rollin in Bra... I like my little hybrid... I don't want to prematurely void the warranty, and all the extra coins I paid for getting it at the top of the hype, just because I want to alert a-holes on teh highway...
Yes, it will void the warranty.......on your OEM horn. Toyota must prove that any other damage was caused by the horn change to void your warranty on any other systems.
Relax. The horn system is very simple. There are two horns, a high pitch and a low pitch. Each has a single wire that carries +12V when the horn switch is closed at the steering wheel. There is no ground return wire, the ground is the physical mount to the radiator support. Using that circuit to power your air horn carries the least risk. I put Sequoia horns in mine. They are also single terminal and bolt right in. I have no problem at all getting someone else's attention!
The safest and easiest way to install after-market horns is to put in a relay. The small black 1" cube type draw less than the stock horns. You run the contacts directly from the battery power through a fuse (say 10A) to the new horn and the other side of the horn grounds on the body. The relay coil runs to the stock horn wire and the other side to chassis. You can even put in a SPDT switch, so in one direction the car uses the stock horn (excuse please), and in the other direction your new horn (get the *#&%$ out of the way!!!).
I vote for Mr. Beales method. It's also uninstallable!, Just unplug stock horns, plug into existing horn wire to drive the relay. If ever a problem, simply plug OEM horns back in, pull new horn out, what problem?????
That also has the advantage of getting nearly full battery voltage to the horns. Factory wiring is sometimes a little skimpy.
There is not a lot of room to work with. What air horn are you going to use? I put in a Wolo Bad Boy, it's compact and much louder than stock. Without the overkill of a true trainhorn.
I've seen those... even one in chrome... they are almost loud enough... maybe with a pair of em... hmmmmm...
