I know this is probably a bad time to discuss all weather mats, but I am not worried about the mat problem. Duh.... we have had mats in cars for years and this is nothing new. Mats move. Some manufacturer's have been putting retention clips in place for years, some haven't. My Subaru does. By the way, the clips wear so driving still requires individual responsibility for maintaining the mats.

But the reason I am writing is to ask if anyone has bought the Toyota all weather mats for the 2010 Prius and are they happy with them ?

In addition, how about the all weather mat for the rear luggage area does it fit well ?

Then finally, because of the recall I feel compelled to ask, does the all weather have a hold down on the drivers side ?

I don't have the all weather mat for the cargo area, but I have them for the front and rear seats. The driver's mat does use the hook/anchor and stays in place.

I have OEM since the dealer paid for them (carpet came with a port package along with the cargo net I cannot use until the official fix is sent out to service departments : ). The quality of the rubber is good and channel design seems fine but I find the front drivers side too small so that the area to the left of the accelerator peddle, there is exposed carpet as well as below it.

I took one of my carpet mats from the back and put it below the AW mat to keep out dirt. While there is plenty of room between the floor and peddle, in light of today's massive recall, I am rethinking this strategy :D Also, like most mats, too much room by drivers door (I always keep a wash cloth under my matts same color and wash periodically). There is no hook on the passenger side, just drivers side.

As for the back seat AW mats; they are fine but I would have preferred a one piece unit like my CRV. Otherwise, passengers get the middle quite dirty. Finally, the trunk mat is two pieces and fits nicely but will not prevent certain types of spills as there is no edging or lip.

You might want to checkout Weathertech as I like some of their other products. The 2010 AW mats are not yet available but they do have a cargo liner like my Honda OEM for the CRV. It is great for carrying plants, etc. but is a thinner material than the mats so both are ideal.

I have the all weather mats and love them. The back mat is actually in two pieces making getting to the cargo area easier. I don't think the carpeted mats are but I might be mistaken on that.

for me, mats were a big deal, after having all weather in my last car, I will never go back to carpet. Way to easy to just pull them out and hose them off during a car wash.

I have the Canadian all-weather mats (different design and imo, sturdier and thicker) and they're working fine, incl. the driver's side.

I called WT a few days back. Was told "couple more months." Yet 2 mos. ago they also told me "two more months." With the recent Toyota recall, I'll bet the mats will be delayed more as WT will also try to find out what went wrong in the Toyota design so they don't repeat the problem.

What is their water capacity? Those I have in my current car are fairly deep, and they tend to fill up with snow (and water) during the winter - I'd be curious to hear how the Prius mats behave in such conditions.

I have the cargo all weather mat, love it. Looks fantastic and protects my back carpet. Will be ordering front/rear all weather asap.

I believe that design is why the new Prius is not being recalled. The new mats will not interfere with the gas pedal. They will also not cover a lot of the floor. They are still adequate but I liked the old design better.

People put too much responsibility on the designers to make things dummy proof anymore and the results are less satisfying products for the majority of us.

I had the dealer exchange the "required" carpet mats for the all weather ones as part of our purchase deal. I was pleasantly surprised that the AW cargo mat was also included. I'm very happy with them and after using them for a while I can say that I would have purchased them separately if we had not worked out the deal. The fit and quality are very good and since we regularly use the lower storage in the back I like the split design. The driver mat does indeed have the holes for the retention clips.

I've had the Weather Tech mats in other cars and although they were nice enough I actually like these better. They have more of soft rubbery feel.

    * Though the Cargo Mats do not have a lip persae, they are filled with relatively deep grooves that would do a good job of retaining liquids if spilled.

Umm... no idea but it should be more than the U.S. design. Ours is a hexagon shape designed to hold the water rather than have them run off to the edges (which don't hold a lot of water in either the Canadian or the U.S. mats)

We have the WT cargo mat and its great. Fits just perfect. It comes rolled up in the box, so it might take a day or two to flatten out to shape, but is holds water, dirt, and dog just fine.

I just got an email from Weathertech saying the Floor Liners would be ready in "four to six weeks." Of course, I've read others say here that they said that a couple months ago as well.

I imagine WT will figure out that the hooks have to be installed in the floor and then inserted into the holes in the mat. I have never had a hint of an issue with the Toyota mat in my 2005.

I am most eagerly awaiting those digital fit floor liners. I really like the cargo liner. In the meantime, my driver's-side carpet is beginning to get a little grungy.

Went to the Dealer yesterday to purchase "all weather rubber mats" like I have on my FJ.
didn't have and had to get from warehouse...went back today to pick up and was told that TOYOTA sent a memo banning the sale of any floor mats.
    Now isn't that special?
