Any USA members on west coast near Seattle, need help and advice

Hi all,

hopefully one of you will reside neat Seattle on the east coast.

I am considering th epurchase of a Zivan NG3 charger for my plug in prius project and there is one available in Seattle. The price is $399.
I have asked the seller to place a lower value on the shipping invoice to lessen the import duty and VAT when the item lands in the uk, but they will not do this for me.
This means an additional £12o in duty and VAT my end, whic then makes the sale a non starter.

Would anyone consider, if i paid them via paypal gift first, to buy the charger by using my funds previously wired, then ship the item to me with a scrap spare parts descrition on the shipping note and a value of £15.

This would save me alot of money, its a shame our imnport duty and VAT are so bloddy rediculously expensive.
