I'm really upset with the Team Toyota Dealership in Langhorne.

I put my deposit down of $1000.00 on May 26 and was told that the wait time would be 6 - 8 weeks.

Setting up for my new Prius I sold my current car this weekend expecting the prius to arrive sometime this week or next. My salesman, Steve Larson, calls me yesterday and tells me that it could take longer, alot longer.

When I bought my car the salesmen showed me a list with 3 people ahead of me. I feel like I was swindeled in to leaving a deposit.

Is anyone else having this issue with the Team Toyota dealership?

I feel your pain. I contacted them and did not get that warm fuzzy feeling about them , so I passed. I must admit though I have passed on ALOT of them for various reasons. Crossing my fingers that I picked the "right" one.

There's so many dealerships in this area, which dealership did you go with?

I feel like I dropped the ball and should have gone with Liberty in Burlington, I just went with Team because somebody told me they were the largest dealership in the area with the best qualified Prius Techs.

Sorry to hear about your dealings with Team Toyota. I hope you have a back-up ride before you really get your Prius.

    Hi,

I was going to buy a Prius from Team Toyota in Langhorne, but they also told me that I would have to get on a waiting list and put down a $500 deposit. I was told (I think the salesman was the same as yours) that the next shipment would be in one month and the only Prius not "pre-sold" was a Pine Green one.

This was mid-March of this year, so I decided to keep looking elsewhere (I'm very impatient) and called all the Toyota dealers in New Jersey and PA that were within an hour from Philadelphia. Only one dealership at that time had a new one on the lot.

I went to Lawrence Toyota the next morning and bought a White Base model Prius. I was told by the salesman to hurry because there was another couple looking at it too. (That couple ended up buying a red used Prius that had more options included.)

My Salesman was Ray, and seemed nice enough. He got me out of the dearleship pretty quickly that day. (may be good or bad that it all happened so fast) I wasn't thrilled about buying a car from out-of-state, but I think everything turned out alright.

I work in New Jersey a lot, and drive by this dealership all the time. (it's on RT 1, also called Brunswick Pike) I do see some Prius' parked in the lot often, but I'm unsure if they are for sale, or just in for service.

I have had my Prius inspected (serviced) in Langhorne at Team Toyota and the facility was clean and has a very nice waiting area. The sales group is not that great though. When I was looking a year ago, the salesmen were not very helpful and they never gave me a good vibe.

    Good Luck!!

I hope you get your Prius soon...

    Mike

I actually work on rt. 1 in mercer county, however the stigma of being so close to Princeton I was afraid that the car was going to be up-priced for the Princeton Market.
The Prius is the official car of Rt. 1, I must pass about a dozen+ every day on my way to work.

I have to say the drive and handling is much better, however, the Fuel savings aint.

True, but the Altima is a Toyota by the way. :D Nissan buys the Toyota hybrid system for their Altima, doesn't get as good a mileage in a Nissan though.

I thought that the price of a car near Princeton would be inflated too....but my base Prius was somewhere around 22,000. I paid the asking sticker price a few months ago at the Lawrence Toyota dealer. I can't say what they are charging now, but I wouldn't worry about it being near Princeton.

And I have to agree with you about seeing a lot of Prius' on the road in that area. I pulled into an office bldg to do a telecom install for my work, and I parked next to two other Prius'.

I see more in the Princeton area than anywhere else. I'd say that Newtown, PA comes in at a close second.

It sure is nice to see so many on the road. The Earth and our wallets are all the happier!!

Just made another phone call today to see if there was any progress and I was told that most likely I won't get the vehicle till Mid-August. I want to be patient and wait however I'm starting to crack. I might start looking at other vehicles.
