Anyone in metro washington DC

I live in the Chantilly /Fairfax area and am definitely interested in networking with other Prius owners in the Washington DC metro area. Count me in!

Like the idea of a road trip! Love Sonic, generally stop at the one in Delware on a trip to the shore. So a Winchester drive is cool with me. Also a shorter trip to Berryville Va on a Sunday could be fun.

Was there a couple of Sundays ago... Not much going on other than window shopping, but would be fun for me to take some pics of almost every parking space being taken in Berryville by Prii...

Who knows, maybe Toyota will do an ad to beat Wendy's in theirs about the town. There appeared to be a decent pizza place, and a smallish Chinese restaurant in the town.

I'm near Rockville/Wheaton MD area.

There is a school located just off the belt way @ Gallows Rd. In Fairfax CO. Does anyone have an issue with meeting in a school parking lot on a Saturday? I am Open for input on Location, I also know of a large park (Round Tree) near there that has gazebos and ample parking (don't know if these need to be reserved).

I just found out I have all day training to be a Smithsonian volunteer on June 9. So if that's the day, I'm out.

Tonight I was told that I'm driving down Thursday, May 31. I'm available after 6:00 Friday & Saturday night. I'm also available Sunday night after the van is loaded.

Since I'm staying at the McLean Hilton I won't have wi-fi in the room but may use a hotspot elsewhere.

Any info on where I can find this list? I'm interested in the Baltimore one.

Someone once posted a preferred list of Hybrid mechanics - not sure if it's the same as this one, but maybe:
go to Hybridcars.com and see their preferred list - one shop in Columbia MD might be what I was thinking.

The other list I know of is Re-Involt.com has hybrid battery replacement partner shops, including one in Ashburn VA.

That's all I got on it. I personally have not strayed from my Toyota dealer in Manassas yet, as far as service. But I was thinking of trying out the Asburn VA shop for 11o K maintenance check including hybrid battery fan cleaning.

I would love to join whatever meetup you guys decide to create. I'm in Fairfax, and just got my First Prius.

suggestion:

if Sonic is still on the menu (ha!) we should meet up in Fredericksburg... this would allow DC and Richmond people to have a pretty equal drive to meet up.

I had a great experience with Mac's Service Center in Ashland, VA. I found him on the Automobile Career Development Center (ACDC, get it?) website (aka fixhybrid.com). He saved me over $2k on an inverter replacement for my Gen I. The service was excellent, and definitely worth the 90 mile distance from DC.
