anyone purchasing a 2010 prius very soon? group buy

    Two of us are purchasing a new 2010 prius in the next week or so. Most likely sooner than later. Is anyone planning to do so in the washington dc area, then we can have more leverage purchasing one.

    Does a group buy help or hurt? I mean, every Prius will be sold. Saying I want 5 Prius's will create demand, without increasing supply and could result in a higher overall price. Now, if we were looking at Camry's, it could help.

    Probably a better approach would be to define a preffered dealer, negotate the price (relative to Invoice or MSRP), and let people know. For example, PriusChat price is $600 under MSRP.
