Anyyone Install Sony CCD Car Rear View Backup Camera w/ Guide Line

    Hello-

    I have a 2013 Prius 4. I am gonna install this camera, wanted to know if anyone with
    a 2013 model have installed this?

    I purchased it on eBay per other recommendations on the site, but it says its for the 2012...I
    am "assuming" there shouldn't be any issues....anyone have any ideas?

    And so back to my question, the the lines curve when you turn the steering wheel?

    But the above pictures suggest that they do? What's the purpose then to tap into the OBD?

    Ah maybe that thing that connects to obd port. But the camera itself doesnt

    You're need to buy a 12v backup camera with NO LINES, since this IPAS (Intelligent Parking Assist System)
    unit already two dynamic tracks built-in into the IPAS module.

    ""This product works by reading CANBUS data of sensor which provided by the electronic stability program of original vehicle in connection with OBD-u2161 computer port into the unit OBD-II, detecting the rotational rate of steer wheel, car speed and the cars lateral acceleration. By considering the above information, the unit will work out the dynamic track in relation to the static track furnished by the camera , and those will be displayed on the monitor or screen.""

    Ok so the camera i have just has some lines built into the camera feed,

    there is no onboard IPAS that it interfaces with?

    Yup, the one u have just Reference Lines built-in, I have the same one too.
    But u can add the IPAS module ($80-$115) to your aftermarket headunit and change camera again with Non-Reference lines.

    Do you know of an IPAS module that is compatable with my unit and where I can find it? I searched for the Yatour unit above couldnt find it .

    also, is there one that will also beep when you get to close or do you need to install
    a seperate sensor unit for that?

    I used bcus2 wiring harness and an aftermarket backup camera.

    Do you get any white pixelation with light colored backgrounds with your setup? I have the Sony camera and Beatsonic adapter, and I sometimes get a little white pixelation with bright backgrounds

    It flickers sometimes at low light. But not white pixelations with light colors in background. Ill keep an eye out for that next time.

    I had problems with the camera starting up because I wired the camera to the reverse lights. But solved it by running the power wire to the bcus2

    I have a beatsonic BCUS3 for sale. I changed my mind and cannot return the product where I purchased it. I am going to change my headunit and don't need the beatsonic harness anymore. Message me if interested, I will ship. Very easy to install.
