I had purchased 2 of these units directly from Beat-Sonic, for both of my Prius's, but ended up only installing 1 of them since I recently sold my other Prius. The unit is super easy to install, no cutting of any wires, and the takes only a few minutes. I currently have one of these installed on my 2012 Prius, the picture above is of the screen playing a video on the way to grab some burgers. You will need an external DVD or media player as far as I know. I am using a Matricom Android Media player with a 1TB HD attached, the box is small enough that you can slip it behind the console area by the gas pedal. The player is awesome, it was only $100, and operated like an android phone. It has XBMC (Xbox media center) installed on it from the factory too which is what I use for playing TV shows/Movies. It will also play 1080p no prob. If you don't have they AVC39 cable already, you will also need one, or you can snip the wires on this kit for the AV input area and solder some RCA Jacks on, and then you'll be ready to go. The matricom box is cool because it has an RF remote, so you can stash the player anywheres in the car, it also has WIFI so if you can do a wifi hotspot on your phone, then you can stream netflix to your screen while driving down the highway (For your passengers eyes only of course). I built this setup into my wife prius to give her something to keep her busy while I am geocaching while on trips Works really good.
