i am 30 and have 13 different cars and after having the prius for a few days i think i have found the best car ever. i think i even drive it safer just by accident. by far it is better that any other car i have owned. after three days i think i see dust on the car and a finger print on the hood. damn have to wash it already. so i guess you all have a three day washing schedule to keep it clean
Welcome to the forum, and to Prius ownership, from another western noob. I found that the car slowed me down and drastically altered my 'approach' and philosophy toward driving in a number of respects. Initially I wasn't entirely sure about the "safer" aspect, however, because I kept staring at the display and fiddling with the gizmos. That phase does pass, but not entirely.....
"safer just by accident", now there's a phrase... . enjoy! You don't have to clean it *that* often, though.. . _H*
You let dust touch your car?!?!? How medieval!!!! Welcome to the club. By the time my Prius picked me up at the dealer, I was already driving slowly/safely/patiently/etc. (Reading up on Taoism will do it to ya'!) I looove my car, and you will too.
Congratulations! Yes, the washing schedule varies somewhat with color. Black = Wash Every Two Days, while Super White, Silver and my Silver Pine Mica are Wash Every Nine Days color. Since you are new, I checked the Owners Manual specifications for you and confirmed that indeed, the new Spectra Blue is documented as a Wash Every Three Days color, very rare. But a beautiful color it is.
I feel the same way. This is the best car ever in terms of mpg. I still love my other cars, but I drive my Prius everyday. The others...just for church from now on. I can't wait to take my Prius on vacation this summer. Drive safe. Regards.
