DSCF1667.JPG DSCF1668.JPG GEDC2155.JPG Have to buy it by the case . Synthetic has 6 quarts and conventional is 12 quarts . Here are used oil analysises . Column 1 is Shell synthetic 5w-20 (SN) , Shell synthetic 5w-30 (SN) is 2 , and Pennzoil conventional 5w-30 (SN) is 3 . The Toyota 90915-YZZF2 oil filter was used for each oil interval .

    Looks good :).

I wish we could get synthetic oil at that sort of price in Australia. Lowest price here is typically at about $12/L or more.

Pour point for the SHELL synthetic 5w-20 is -51 . The Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20 is -42 . Does the lower pour point of the SHELL syn 5w-20 mean it's thinner than the P.P. 0w-20 ?

What's the coldest year round temperature you're likely to operate in? If it's above -20F I'd just compare the cold cranking viscosity (lower is better). The PP seems to have slightly better cold cranking performance at -35C than the FS, but it may not be relevant depending upon your location.

For me the coldest year round temperature is more like +40F, so I rarely even bother reading the pour pt or CCV specs of the oils I use. :)

Is this oil recommended? My '08 Prius has 150K on it, I've been using Mobil 1 since my 1st oil change. The BJ's in my area has it for $20-, or should I change from Mobil 1 to Mobil 1 high mileage. Thank you for your comments.

I have also been taking advantage of BJ's periodic sales on Shell's full synthetic motor oil and getting good used oil analysis results from Blackstone, until my wife decided to switch to Costco so I had to switch to Mobil.
