    My cellular company is Cingular

I have Bluetooth on my 2005 Prius and have been happy with its functionality with a V551 telephone. I got a new Palm Treo 680 and was told it may or maynot function properly as Toyota doe not support the brand. After looking at the supported telephones, I saw the Blackberry 8700C and exchanged my telephone. I was referred to letstalk.com after I saw that the heading "Transfer a Phone Number from Phone to Vehicle" it says "-This phone does not support transferring contacts-".

How can I get numbers into the telephonebook to then transfer them into the "1-touch" function? Letstalk said they have the same documentation I have and don't know how to get numbers in manually. They suggested calling the dealership but the dealership was not good on technical matters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have Verizon, right? Verizon has disabled OOP so you can't send your phonebook. If you have a BT PDA or laptop you can put your contacts into that and transfer. Or get a non-Verizon phone BT phone from eBay and use that.

Since your car is a 2005 (like mine) another idea would be to go to the Log of received (and dialed) calls. You can place numbers (either dialed or received) on the 1-Touch, but it won't display the name.

OK, well, the suggestions still work. Initially I used numbers from the Log for the 1-Touch as I normally dial 2 numbers so it was easy to use. I also set up places as memory locations with phone numbers. As you have a 2005, you can use the NAV override and dial any location by pressing the INFO button.

I ended up getting a BT phone on eBay which could send the phonebook.
