I picked up my 2010 on Friday. I had no problem syncing my Iphone to the car. When a call comes in everything works great, the person calling sounds great. The problem is I sound terrible to them they say it sounds like I am in a cave, and this is when the car is standing still. I have tried talking softer more direct up at microphone I have the audio turned down, When the car is in motion they can hardly understand me at all. Is there anything I can do about this? Or is it just a horrible microphone. Maybe some aftermarket microphone might be available? Anyone else having this problem?

Same!!! Only made 3 calls to the same person, but they said to speak up. So I have to raise my voice quite a bit. I looked thru the manual quick to see if there was a function to increase mic volume, but can't spot it. We'd appreciate guidance here...

Also is there a way to upload contact info / numbers from a bluetooth to the JBL? I don't have Nav. Any way other than manual voice-entering?

You can turn up the bluetooth receive volume (i.e., the volume of what the other person hears), using a hack. See this thread:

You might be able to make it a bit louder, but you're just putting a band-aid on the real problem- microphones don't do so well far from the source. No matter what you do you'll never hear the end of "Take me off speaker you idiot!" or "Call me back on a real phone!"

Thanks for this info - but do you know where the 'Info' button is on non-Nav '10 to try this mod???

    ---------------------------------------
I held down the info button (on the MFD) and turned the headlights on and off three times and got the diagnostic screen to do the adjustments. after I adjusted the volume for sendiong to "5" I just turned the car off and back on and everything was back to normal and my sending volume was much better! Hope that helps. P.S. you must hold the info button by the MFD the one on the steering wheel will not do it.

I have only seen anyone post this with Nav.
Sounds like you have to pay $1800 to adjust the microphone volume.
