Have you put body side moldings on your v? If yes, which ones? DIY or dealer installed? Pics?

    Thank you!

They're on the radar; haven't pulled the trigger. Had these strakes on several of our earlier cars and it is both door-ding functional as well as stylish.

Ordered the same yesterday from Juicedhybrid and also a Toyota Part number 00016-47250.

I do think I like the Juicedhybrid molding you have on your v. It looks great! I have Blizzard too. Can't wait to get it.

How long did it take for you to install? Any special tips?

    Thank you!!!

Took me about 20 min to install mine. Clean the area where the moldings will be applied. Measuring the high according to the instruction. However, I made it 1 inch or so lower than what they suggest. It doesn't really matter, as long as it looks right to you.

Haha, I just had to share this cheap alternative to body side moldings I saw one day at a shopping center parking lot:

It's one of those pool noodles with a piece of rope running through the center and tied to the side mirror and rear door handle. There was one on each side.

They look great! Curious, why did you choose to install them at the height you did rather than what the instructions suggested?

I did some searching on line and found a Company by the name of "Spoiler and Wing King" in Flint MI that sells custom painted Body Side Molding for most all vehicles. For the Prius V, they charge $79 plus shipping. The Prius V does not come up on their website, but I placed my order by phone and they do sell molding for the V. I'll make another post once I receive and install it.

I ordered 2 sets, one Toyota and one aftermarket. Didn't like the way either looked and returned both.

FYI: The lift back forum also discusses body side moldings and many have used inverted RAV4 moldings. They color match many (but not all) of our colors. I went with them, and if you enlarge the photo to the left you will see how they look on my car. The edges of the molding and the doors do no line up perfectly, but well enough for me. The rear door piece does not extend rearwardly (?) as much as the Juicedhybrid-type moldings, but no big deal for me. Why did I choose them? They are a bit more substantial, have a more sculpted look, and (to my eye) enhance the car's appearance a bit more. If I were to do it again, I would install them a bit higher and angle them downward (from rear to front) a bit more.

That's about the only option that didn't come on our car. Our dealer is giving them to us at his cost. They had to be ordered and will be installed later this week. I'm also ordering a rear bumper protector from this site.

I bought the same moulding From the Prius Chat store. I had them professionally put on. About $75.00. They look great.

My other Prius 2006 has had moulding from day one. They have protected my car. I can see they have been hit about 10 times. I just touch them up when hit.

Got mine from @bay Toyota OEM part with matching body color and chrome inserts. Later added the bottom steel molding from Japan plus emblems.
