Bought used 2006 prius with 187k What to do immediately?

    I did take it in to a Toyota and begged them to change Transaxle fluid (against their wishes) also did inverter coolant flush.

    I drive about 4,000 miles a month and just trying to plan how to keep this thing alive over 300,000 miles.

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Why synthetic? Any pros? Just want to know cause I went to the dealer and they put,me 5w30 they said it was recomended,,,i asked fot synthetic they said not nessesary dont know,why,,, but I feel a must put synth next time,, how much is the cost for change transaxle oil on a toyota dealer? Aprox?
