Hello all, I am the new (about 24 hours now) owner of Rachel Carson, a 2009 Barcelona Red Package #2. I read up on the car extensively before I bought, mostly right here (you might say I'm already in debt to ya'll). With the help of the VERY astute and determined people here, I knew much about the car that even the dealer didn't. I am a 21 year old Registered Nurse at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and a pre-med student with a long way to go. I live in Torrance, CA and am a major train buff. If any other Prius owners are of like occupation or hobby, I'd love to hear from you. So thanks everyone for the help I've already gleaned just lurking here, and for what's sure to come.
shtinkypuppie, Welcome to PriusChat. Lots of good stuff and good folks here. Being an informed consumer/driver is especially imporant with the Prius. Spend a little time each day poking around in the data base with the search tool, and you'll soon know more that most of the Toyota techs/service writers you're likely to have contact with. Welcome. I am a younger Prius owner too (21). I got mine in April and totally love it. Mines a #6 Super white. She doesn't have a name yet. How did you come up with a name for yours? Im leaning towards Snow White.

I'm also a new user of this forum and seriously considering putting a down payment to get the 2010 Prius when that becomes available.
I don't know if you would consider it a like occupation, but I am a Biomed Enginner at Tulane Hospital in LA. I just bought my Prius friday Magnetic Grey package 5. I have to travel all around new Orleans rarly go over 25 with the trafic. Thats why i thought it would be the best thing for me. I also want to use it to go on scubadiving trips with my brother.
