    Hey guys,

    First post...
So, I bought a Prius v Three over the weekend and I'm in a bit of a pickle.
I trusted the dealer and took basically everything they had to offer.
After 5 minutes of research, I noticed they had taken ME for everything I had to offer.

I am in the process of canceling my extended/maintenance warranties and refunding the interior/exterior package. Once that's done...I'll have like $3,000 back.

    So here's the question...I'm in Wisconsin...what do I need?
    They offered:
    8 year 100,000 extended
    4 year 45,000 maintenance
Protective hood & door edge film
    3M Scotch-guarding
    Diamon Fusion Window Coating
    Key Replacement

Are any of those a good idea and is there anything not on the list that you'd recommend?
Lastly, can anyone suggest a decent price range or link for any of these services?

I'm probably going to drive this thing beyond the zombie apocalypse...I want to make sure it's protected.

Maybe thee hood and door film, maybe the key replacement (do you lose your keys a lot?) and NOTHING more. If you want to scotchgard your interior do it yourself, buy a couple of cans and happy spraying.

You don't need any of it.

    I totally agree.

Our dealer's idea of 3M clearbra is 12" on the hood, fender, mirror backs and door edges. It costs around $1,000.

We went to the 3M web site and found Ace Automotive, a certified Clearbra installer here in Colorado. He does the entire front end of the Prius with 24" 3M Clearbra. This is every painted surface from just below the windshield to the lowest leading edge of the front bumper cover, as well as the front fenders, mirror backs, door edges and door handle "pockets." He also covers the headlights. He comes to our house and does it in our garage. And the cost? A mere $750. He will also come back and do repairs if needed.

This is the 5th car he's done for us. While similar cars look like their front ends have been sandblasted, our cars always look like new.

Put all the money you saved in a "car repair fund", and you'll likely come out ahead.

Wish I had the 3m Clearbra on my car there are a few scratches on the hood. The dealer I bought my Prius from Toyota of Lake City in Seattle put the door protector stuff on for free. I bought the Prius back bumper protector for when I put stuff in the trunk of the car because my kids sometimes miss the trunk and could scratch the bumper.
