First post - I am looking forward to buying a new 2009 Prius tonight. My wife wanted the package 6 toys with leather interior and black exterior (I wanted white). I've been on a waiting list at one Toyota dealer for 2 months but last week I called a former sales guy at another Toyota/Scion dealer who found this one for me.

This is my second Prius - the first was a 2006 silver package 7 from Hank Arron Toyota (no leather). For 2006 Package 8 had leather and local SE Toyota dealers did not have any. The 2006 was a great car and (like a fool) I sold it in June, 2008 with only 33,000 miles. I've missed it ever since.

The same month I bought a 2009 Scion XB automatic with Borla exhaust, navigation, fog lights and diming mirror and thought I would be happy with it (carry more stuff, etc.). The Scion is a great, peppy vehicle but I realized that I am sooooo cheap when it comes to gas mileage that I had to go back to a Prius.

For the 2009 Prius (If everything goes as planned this evening with the EF&I man) I think I have been able to get a little off the sticker price and a set of floor mats thrown in the deal. I will post a picture soon.

Well I hope all goes well tonight and you are able to get the car. I understand how you feel about selling a car and then wanting it back. I had a 2004 4Runner and sold it for a 2006 Lexus IS250. I had the Lexus for about 2 months and decided that I was more of an SUV person, so I sold it for a 2006 4Runner. Then I began to get sick of 15 mpg, so I bought the 2008 Prius. I thought I would never drive a car after the Lexus, but I rather enjoy the Prius.

Just out of curiousity, if you don't mind, how much did you end up paying (not including tax)?

The 2009 price was $29,781 before dealer administrative fee and taxes.

Again - I should have kept the 2006 as my "drive out" price in July, 2006 was $29,161 with dealer fee, tax (SC tax @ $300) and the platinum level 7 year/100K extended warranty.

If you have a good Prius - don't sell it, you will be sorry you did!!!

    Here are a few pictures....

The vehicle drives great. This is the first one I have ridden in with leather interior - It must be an illusion but it feels quieter than the 2006 version.
