    Hello all!

Just purchased my first prius, a used 2008 w/ 73k on the dial.

I noticed a weird noise when I turn the car off, I hear a buzzing noise coming from the engine compartment when I turn the car off, and it lasts for maybe 30 seconds.

    Is that normal? Any opinions?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Cool, thanks! No, didn't come with the manual. Also, only came with one key fob. Looking forward to the 'chicken dance' with a ebay fob....

    Much appreciated!!!

Mine often buzzes like that - I believe it might have to do with the hybrid cooling system from what I could tell from my manual.

From what I was told by the dealer, there is a pump under there that moves hot coolant to a "thermos" insulated container. It's saved there and pumped back in to make future engine starts more efficient. Not sure if that's correct, but sounds good to me. ;)
