    Hey Everyone,

Not sure if there is a post for this, but I could not find one.

I recently replaced my cabin air filter in my '12 PiP. When I went to put the little door back on, the clip that holds the door into place on the left (not the "click" side), broke right off of the housing.

I have the piece, but not sure I can glue this back on with any success.

Do I have to take the whole dash apart to get the housing out to replace? It really is the smallest little plastic piece. What a PITA. Anyone else have this issue?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I broke mine too about a year ago. I don't know that it matters.

I feel like there has been a rattle on that side of the dash ever since.....maybe I'm just being hypersensitive.

i suppose it might vibrate without the clip, i would wedge some along the side to keep it from moving.

You can always get a replacement cover from your dealer.

It's not the cover that broke, it's the part that the cover attaches to. The cover slides under a little cheap plastic clip that broke off.

My mistake, sorry. I have had good success lately with Gorilla Super Glue for plastics in some tough applications that seem to be holding up well.

A small piece of duct tape will do the trick. No one will see it anyway...

I've repaired plastic successfully using those epoxy ribbon/putty type products. The kind with a two part putty that you knead together and press and mold it around the pieces you are fixing.

After it hardens, you can sand it and cut it if you need to.
