I am a Statistician and data geek and I'd love to be able to extract and track data from my Prius over time, such as MPG, cost per trip, etc.

I know that there is a data port that can be used to upload stuff TO the Prius, but is there any way for me to export data FROM the Prius?

I use a Scangauge II, so I see real time data from the OBDII bus, it sounds like you want to store the data from the ODBII bus

An Android tablet with a bluetooth Adapter (and 99% have one built in) can track the bus wirelessly if you have an ELM 327 dongle (I bought this one )

There are entire threads on the Torque software, which I have not played with but may be a start to trending data.

I hope this gets you started.
