While driving my Gen III, the NAV system won't allow you to enter a destination, etc. due to what I assume is a safety feature. Is there a way to disable this? I constantly input many different destinations while I am moving and it is an inconvenience to pull over on the side of the road just to enter in another destination. Thanks!

Other than getting used to the voice command way of doing it while the car is moving, I don't think there are any workarounds yet for the GIII.

For the GII there was a way to rig a switch which made it not recognize the car was moving but I haven't seen it done on a GIII yet. The voice commands are much improved on the GIII so I'd just mess with that and once you get used to it, as annoying as it is to use, I think that's your best bet.

I pre-programmed and stored "Home," and some other regular destinations, and you can select those destination buttons while the car's moving.

And with dialing the phone, I just use my iPhone's speed dial menu or voice control to dial, then the bluetooth kicks in and the car mic and speakers work.

Speaking of which, what configurable options did you change, and did you have any trouble getting the dealer to do the changes?

I had 3 items changed upon taking delivery and had no issues with the dealer performing the following.

    1. Continuous reverse beep down to 1 beep.

    2. Auto lock all doors at the 12MPH range.

    3. Press unlock button once to unlock all doors.

You can interact with the POI's while driving, by using the Show On Map, button that is located on the bottom of the navigation screen.
