I can't see your pic in the thread, but I could see it in my feed reader so I reposted it using the tags.

Actually, I like this parking job because at least the parking spot to the left is still usable. If he had centered the pickup in the spot it would have taken up part of the spot to the left as well.

Perhaps the "compact" refers to the brain size of the driver?

No... the compact refers to the size of his genitals. This looks like the parking job of a typical low life white trash POG. I wish I had a nail gun to flatten his tires.

    Think simplicity...

Valve stem tool, about $3 at most auto part stores.

    (Picture ~2x oversize)

Loosening the valve stem(s) just a little creates a slow leak.
    Loosen a lot; instant flat.

I see that all the time... Worse is when it is in a parking garage right where the turn is. So with huge trucks sticking their butt out, it reduces traffic to one lane so people are driving on the wrong side trying to get around...

To set up the scene, this is a close parking spot at the local YMCA. There is a LOT of parking here, and most of it is not compact parking. There were spots available that would not have required parking on the concrete divider/planter (there's shrubs under there, somewhere).

The main problem is that parking enforcement on private property is virtually non-existent. So these jerks know that nothing will happen to them.. like the guy I parked next to who left his Mustang idling while he went into Home Depot.

I'd send the pic to local paper and see if they would put it in paper.;)

I see this type of behavior very often in LA. I also see a lot of SUV's and trucks sometimes purposedly ALMOST missing the exit and running over the island on the freeways to do a little "rough urban off-roading". I'm not kidding...it's almost as if they were bored and needed an excuse to run over trash and dividers.

Going off-topic, I think the backup camera is making me lazy now where before I used to look all around me before backing up, now I briefly look on the sides and start backing up...

That term "compact", is that a suggestion or could a parking ticket be written for that? Cause would could solve many municipality financial woes with a couple of parking lot walk-throughs with ticket pad in hand.

Exactly. Yesterday I scared myself. I was driving my Honda which has a full nav screen, and I found myself putting it in reverse then staring at the screen. Even though there was no backup cam, I was still looking at it for a split second while moving backwards before I snapped out of it!
