I am preparing for installing my carputer but I have one concern. I want to bring a usb extension cable from the trunk to the driver seat of the car.

Now my question is how easy is this to do and how do I do it?

You may have problems with the length of the cable. You're limited to 5m. However, a car is a much noisier environment (electrically), so you probably have to go shorter.

Logistically, it's easy. You can pull the panels off of the door runners and put the wire in there. There's already various other wires going front to back.

I bought an Active USB Extension Cable of 16 feet by Tripp Lite which has very good reviews on Amazon.
