    Actually, circus cats have been doing tricks on command for years.

    There's a story in one of Isabel Allende's books (I think maybe Eva Luna, or perhaps it was in Cuentos de Eva Luna) about a cat trainer in a very poor circus. They could not afford a lion, so he trained house cats to do all the same tricks lions do in bigger circuses. In the course of the years, the circus became successful and finally they could afford to buy a lion. And it ate him.

    Isabel Allende is one of my favorite authors.

    If a kitty was not psychotic would it still be a kitty? You may look at a calm kitty and imagine that it's not psychotic, but there is turmoil deep within. Some kitties are just better than others at concealing it until the time is right.
