My 2005 Prius comes with the basic CD player, so I haven't expected to see CD track titles displayed on the screen.
I just got a relatively old, commercial CD (The Producers, B'way Soundtrack, 2001), and lo and behold when I played it, the tracks can be seen!!
Does anyone know if this mean that my player does have this capability, or will it just be true for certain random CD's?

the CD has to have CD TEXT on it. When i burn CDs for my car, I carefully name all the tracks and disc name, since the CD TEXT can be burned onto it. I use Roxio, and it has a checkbox to enable or disable CD TEXT. Some commercial CDs have it, since it takes no space. There should be a marking on the CD case if it has it, though I'm not sure where to look for it
