    Hi folks,
I spotted the following in the West Australian newspaper last weekend.
I don't know what their source is - it was unsigned and in a small window on the motoring page.

Has anyone else heard of these changes?

Very interesting; but we like our Prius just the way it is.

Ken -- these same changes have also apparently appeared in the European Prius.

    Interesting!

These are very welcome improvements in the two areas that I find the car to be lacking, imprecise handling and lack of sound insulation.

The question is how do we get the PS update and any of the other things mentioned? Or are they just offered for non-American cars because the world knows we don't like cars that handle and have predictable road manners...quoting Toyota marketing now. That's the reason they gave for 16" wheels and improved suspension for the European Prius.

Prhaps the European version must be certified for autobahn driving, thus requiring better brakes and handling characteristics.

That might be right. I do remember that the European Toyota group was much more concerned about handling, even for the UK version.

Austrailia even got 195HR60X15 Michelin tires I think

would be nice to at least have the option to pay for those upgrades though
