What area do you live in? We have a couple of tesla roadsters floating around and lots of volts and prii. I have yet to see a karma or a prius phv, but they don't sell them at dealerships in town. The only karma that I know about in texas, is in houston, and I only know about it because it caught fire - but wasn't the battery.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was driving near Palo Alto on highway 101 when I saw the Karma, Prius PHEV, and Volt. It's now a rare day when I don't see at least one plugin car on the road. Usually I see 2-4 but often 6-10 in a day of typical commute driving between Silicon Valley and SF (70-80 mile total round trip). I've only seen that one Karma in the wild although I saw another one at an EV event for Stanford students that I participated in with my Volt earlier this year.

The most common plugin around here is still the LEAF but I'm frequently seeing multiple Volts per day as well. Other than the parking lot at work, I see a 2012 Prius PHEV at least a couple of times a week now. I have seen 2-3 Mini-E cars in the past and there is a BMW Active-E often parked on the street near my home.

I've only seen one Tesla Model S on the road back in January but then got to ride in the same car a week later after finishing a tour of their headquarters and R&D building in Palo Alto (very cool). I'm looking forward to seeing more of them soon as the deliveries begin. I see Roadsters on the road maybe once every couple of weeks but there is one parked a few spaces away from me at the apartment complex where I'm staying right now.

I can now say I see a Volt almost every day in this area, about on par with Vette's. One you couldn't miss, it was red with Volt in black 2 foot letters on each side!

It's been some time, but I saw a Volt go by me on my way to work today.

I saw a Volt on the road this week for the first time since December 2011. Ironically I saw an Edsel on the same stretch of road the next day. This is either a one in a Billion coincidence or an ominous sign. Take your pick...

Undoubtedly! I live in on the border of the burbs and rural USA, and there are no EV juice bars here.

I'm now regularly seeing 4-6 Volts and LEAFs per day on the road or randomly parked along the street and often 1-2 PiPs as well. The Volt and PiP numbers are clearly picking up because I see new cars without plates and cars with green HOV stickers. I'm now beginning to see more Volts than LEAFs for the first time.

The other day, I saw 3 different Volts in a 5 minute span within a one block area in San Francisco with no public charging stations anywhere in the immediate area.

I'm seeing more and more Volts in my part of the Bay Area now.

I saw a brand new one the other day w/blue dealer placards. I saw another new one today w/yellow DGDG placards.

Given that Volts are far outselling Leafs in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio ends up being roughly 1:1 in what I see w/me eventually seeing more Volts than Leafs.

I suspect the green CA HOV stickers that the new eAT-PZEV versions are eligible for makes it much more attractive.

My bro in N.Carolina saw 1 at the local Chevy dealer, getting his 2500 truck serviced. He been looking on the local roads for the Volt - has not seen a single one. He studied the sales brochure on the Volt, knows what the car looks like. He mywould like to talk to a flesh and blood Volt driver - no go. I mentioned I have run into the same in my neck of the woods.:(

My Prius is on the right :) (Edit: Just noticed the differences in the rear bumper reflectors, guess that's Volt (your pic) vs. Ampera (my pic). I do not make that distinction in my posts, or I would only have seen one Volt instead of about 10 Volt-and-Ampera's)

Recently (May or so) saw three (!!!) Volts in a day!!! (yeay, yeah, when I look at my carbattery I see 12 at once...)

And on a trip through Norway I saw more charging-stations (one was a quickcharger with 500V, 120A ) than electric vehicles. Even more charging poles than Prii I think... Almost plugged in my Camper into a electrical vehicle charging post :ROFLMAO: but had just come off the campingsite, so no need. Well, if the electricity is free one gets tempted... (It was free (regular 230V~16A) on the parkinglot of the cityhall in Billund (Legoland) in Denmark, but the rest wasn't free!)

Recently saw a sportscar in my rearviewmirror that I couldn't place... It went past at about 75mph in a 65 zone. And it was a bloody Karma(y)
    At exit Delft Zuid Netherlands.

The above pic was taken at the Makro, again Delft Zuid.

Saw one for the first time a few days ago.. At first glance I thought it was a Chevy Malibu that a ricer-kid had put a body kit onto. lol, no thanks Chevy. But I'm sure THIS car is better than all the other junk they sell.

Saw another brand new Volt today in south San Jose. It was black w/no plates yet but he had the green HOV stickers, applied to the wrong locations.

It looked like he was trying to avoid putting them on painted surfaces (front and rear bumper covers). But basically, he didn't follow directions (

Saw a white one on my way to work Friday and a black one today on the way to the courts. Don't think I've seen either of them before. Our gas in Chicagoland is over $4 tho.

Saturday I saw a Volt heading south on I295. I'm guessing it was heading quite a way south because it had a "Merlin" license plate on it.

I hope they enjoyed their vacation.

PS I think they were doing about 70mph. We were doing what the Prius calls 65mph.

Several volts on the same day. I'm giving up. Half the worldwide sales must be happening in the Netherlands.

I did see a Prius 7seater, an Ampera (=Volt), a Leaf, a Twizy, a Smart electric and a Mercedes SLS AMG with gull-wing-doors standing side-by-side. And actually sat in the Ampera and the Twizy (the only ones that were open, it was a car-show-section on a 'countyfair' who's main attractions are antique steamengine driven vehicles).
The lack of a 5th seat prevents the Volt from being an option. But I found it pretty small overall. The Twizy might eb a replacement for my motorcycle (haven't driven in 2 years due to illness), but it seems to incoorporate all the bad features you can think of... Too little speed for highway use, less (way less) storagespace than my motorcycle, not being able to drive between cars in a trafic jam (so it's a car in that respect), yet open doors, so you get wet in the rain (more a motorcycle in that respect). The worst of both worlds... :ROFLMAO: Not to mention the hefty rentingfee for the batteries... The whole reason for going electric in my country would be to circumvent (very high) monthly roadtax. Then they sell an electric car and you pay the same amount but now it's not roadtax, but battery-rentingfee...
