The Chicagoland Priuschat group had our third meetup on June 18, 2005. We had six Prii show up, but Bill had to leave because his pool is being painted. I'll let him tell about that.

Attendants were BLNFanMatt, Drifter, FireEngineer, JimofDG, and TonyPSchaefer.

We meet in the parking lot of The Streets of Woodfield shopping center and enjoyed Chipoltle lunch burritoes. MMmmmm.

    I've attached two pictures.

    Tony,
Thanks for the pics! Looks like the weather was great.

How did you find such an empty area? Was this taken in a deserted part of the mall lot?

One of the things I really like about the Chicagoland area is the diversity of the landscape. Just on the other side of the big, busy interstate from the huge always-busy shopping mall and IKEA is a National Park Reserve with lakes, forests, and shelters.

It was one of the larger Cook County Forest Preserves, Tony. Remember the name on the side of the police car? They expressed amusement at our formation (not blocking traffic) and moved on.

It had everything, including two Japanese tourists who excitedly told us how much they enjoyed renting a Prius in Japan (where gas prices are even higher than in our area).

The really hard part was holding still while Tony moved the clouds into just the right formation.

So I have a few pictures like Tony's, I won't bother to post those, but I do have a different perspective on the cars. I got the idea from someone who mentioned it, I don't remember who.

I don't know if Tony will like it, it's not symmetrical, but I do.

Oh, Tony also won't like it because my Tideland is featured more prominently than his. Just the way it should be.

So the point of lining up the Prii with backs to each other is to maximize Chipolte afterburner effect? For blastoff after the meeting?

Smooth looking cars dudes, especially the reddish looking models.

Ok I am still new to this forum, am I just missing the posting of the pictures on this post, or have they been taken down. I know this is an old topic, but it is in my area, and I am hoping to get my Prius soon, and maybe take part in one of these.

you won't be sorry, but you might spend all day with a bunch of prius nuts!

I went to the one in January... and it was an all day thing.
