I got the PVC style seats and I really like them alot. The material is really soft and it makes the car look so much better inside. At $240, you can't beat it. I was surprised because the covers were really easy to install (3 hours start to finish) and everything fits perfect. I took two pics with my crappy cell phone camera but you get the idea! I definitely would recommend these seat covers for ease of installation, fit, price, looks and pretty much anything else!
They look great! The armrest seems are a bit off but i'm impressed. I'll have, to cover my seats eventually. Thanks for posting your results.
The armrest doesn't fit perfectly but it does the job. The guys at work were really impressed and they said it looks like a factory installed job.
That is a really good job. Give the sun some time to tighten up the material it will take some of the wrinkles out and may tighten up the arm rest.:thumb:
Considering that the "real leather" ones are really mostly PVC anyway, these look like the better deal. I didn't realize they came with the console cover, too. Very nice looking job, definitely can't be beat at this price. Thanks for sharing
Hard to tell these from the real leather other than the lack of perferation in the center panel! They look great!
I know what I'm doing this summer... Where did you buy the kit? Also, would recommend removing the seats or anything to make installation easier?
I got them from Trdsparks.com. You definitely don't need to remove the seats. I think it's easy enough with everything in place. Unless you aren't able bodied to get underneath the front seats (you need to run straps and strings underneath) then it really isn't necessary. It would make it easier to install but that would increase the installation time. I guess it all boils down to personal preference.
I got my leather Clazzios from TRDsparks.com, they definately had the best price and free shipping! :thumb:
While I can't answer that specific question because I only installed PVC, keep in mind that the two types are similar. In both types, the outside of the seats are both PVC.
The style is identical, the only real difference if the center panel of the leather seat is perforated leather and the PVC is solid vinyl. The outboard panels (which fit snug to the seat) are the same material on both, so I would suspect installation would also be the same. It took me about the same amount of time as OP to install my leather Clazzios. Quite honestly, had I seen the pics of the PVC Covers before ordering mine, I would have gone that route and saved a $150!
And that side material is vinyl I'm guessing, even on the leather?... Thanks guys. I'd too like to know if they're compatible with side airbags
There is a you tube video that shows the side air bag deploying through the Clazzio seat covers. Both the leather and PVC covers use vinyl side panels that are designed for air bags.
I have a question, will the perforated leather be cooler on those hot days, or does it not make a difference. I'm tempted to go with the all PVC for cost and for looks as I prefer the solid look---however I don't want sweaty rump and back every drive in the summer. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks to Paul58 and AZIPOD for posting ivory pics (and OP for posting all-PVC pics)--I've decided on that color. I'm just at the point of wondering if I the extra $150 is worth it. To note, my wife's all leather Acadia is not perforated and I have not noticed any sweaty back... -Mike Edit: I guess after talking with TRDsparks the seating surfaces are all perforated--I didn't know this....please correct me if I'm wrong.
Please excuse a small threadjacking .. I gather people are choosing PVC as a leather look-alike, but I prefer high quality cloth. Any suggestions where to look ?
