If you can afford that much down, I'm sure you could easily ga loan -- especially if you're with the military. Don't you have a credit union or something?

I would try to get a rate from a credit union. Just explain how much of a loan you want and they can explain how much of a payment that would be for various terms. With that much down you should have no trouble. Some on here have recommended a certain one that is especially for those in the military or with family in the military (called PenFed or Pentagon Federal Credit Union), and it had a 3.99 percent rate, so that would be great for you. I have no experience with them but I have seen them recommended by many others on here.

There are various online calculators as well, if you just search for "car loan payment calculator" or something like that you can find some where you basically plug in the cost, down payment, a guess at an interest rate and the term and it will tell you your payment.

I one time had a car dealer self finance (with post dated checks) two months but that is as far as they would go.

Go to the navy credit union!
