We have a dog and it's not always easy to open the rear windows without them opening all the way...Today he jumped out. Luckily all is fine but I need to resolve this with these windows...

Then put the child safety on. Or the dog can step on the window switch and lower them there self

The one-touch can be turned off for all the windows except the drivers, but it takes a ScanGauge or something similar. Also, a dealer can do it.

I guess the deal is... just have a lighter touch. I think I can do that. As someone else commented on this subject, "go easy Hercules"

I agree. The detent is too feeble. If I'm in a hurry, it's hard to pull or press hard enough to actuate the window at all without accidentally going past the detent.

Incidentally, the same is true of the turn-signal lever.

OK (yes, I realize mine is a Gen II), but it has a disable switch (right next to the button for the driver's winder-switch) for the passenger winders to stop them mussing around with the ventilation or escaping when they're in riding in the car! (…I'm surprised it would be different for the newer (…and improved) Prii  o_O)

why don't you put blue tape on the window buttons itself? that way, it won't be able to tap on it.

Not speaking for the poster that might have revived this but on many forums there are people that camp out on the forums waiting to pounce on someone new or a casual viewer demanding they "use the search function". I see no problem in bringing up an old thread or posting a question that has been answered many times.

agreed. it doesn't apply here. i'm just curious why someone would post to an old thread with neither a question, nor a solution.
