Could you please recommend an independent garage for Prius service?

    Hello All,

    I live in Pleasanton, CA area. Could you please recommend me an independent garage for Prius 2007 service? This year I did a minor service and 30 K service so far. My dealer is recommending a couple more services. I may end up paying close to $1500 on service this year alone. My Prius has 150K miles on it.

    If you know any independent garage around Dublin/Pleasanton/San Ramon area, please recommend. I am OK to drive any where in East bay area.

    Ignore the stealership, just follow the maintenance guidelines in the Toyota Owner manual with one exception: Many (most ?) of the PriusChat regulars change the transmission fluid (ATF WS) every 50k miles or so.

    I have not tried anyone, yet....just bought a 2003 that needs battery work.....I think I can locate and replace bad modules, but want someone with more knowledge that I to balance the battery......that is why I am looking for someone that is recommended by other Prius owners. I can try to locate Zimmermans.. Do you know of others in central PA?
