Dealer Addons --Better prices elsewhere?

    I got offered an extended warranty for 1875: similar to preferred 7/100k warranty offered by Toyota. The quote via warranty direct is 1630--not much of a savings. Has anyone found anything better?

    Also, the prepaid maintenance from Toyota was offered for premium with 4/55k at $1,275. I can't find anything better thru the links on this site.

    Any ideas on where else to look?

    I paid similar for Toyota's Platinum Extended 7yr/100k warranty. If one big part fails b/t 4 years (extension period), it would pay for itself.

    I believe they are charging $1055 for the same warranty that the dealer is charging $1875.
