Has anyone taken a look at their fog lights? The fog light on my C4 looks like it has been burnt. I will post picture later today. I didn't notice it until I was trying to install my fod light. I haven't put in any other bulbs in there besides what came from factory. The HID bulbs were never installed in the housing. Please take a look and let me know.

    Thanks!

What do you mean by burnt? I'll go out to the parking lot to take a look, but need to know what I need to check first.

You are correct. Your reflector looks like it has overheated.

For OEM they are H16 halogen bulbs rated at 19 watts.

Oh no, I thought I've read it somewhere it's the same as low beam headlights H11. I've ordered another HID set H11 to use with these fog lights, now I'm screwed.

The fog light bulb from the factory says H16 but the replacement one I got to replace the factory one says H11. H11 will work for you fog light. I have H11 in 3000K for my fog lights. The Toyota rep said that it probably didn't have proper ventilation so it burned the housing.

Are you saying the fog lights burned the reflector using the factory installed bulbs?

thats a bad design if normal bulbs will cause the housing to get messed up.

Another reason to use LED's vs. Halogen bulbs in my mind. The temperature inside the housing "should" be lower at the same lumen output.

but you will not be able to get the same output as halogens when you put leds in the same housing. to actually make leds work on the same level as halogens, you will need to replace the whole housing with a proper led housing,

Anybody having issues with this? Worried that using a H11 will burn out the housing due to heat...

I run mine for 2 hours a day 5 days a week. I have had this for 3 months now and haven't had a single problem with the H11 HID bulbs in the fog sockets.
