    Bit disapointed with the sound system in my new 2012 Prius 3. Back seat speakers suck prety badly.

    Anyone notice a huge difference in volume (sound level) bwteen SAT and FM? Only one volume knob, set the same.

    I recorded it just to make sure it wasn't me.

    Pretty obvious difference in volume. Is the SAT receiver (amp) just better?

    On the 2010 models each audio source had its own independent volume control. I would be surprised if you do not have this feature on the 2012.

    Thanks for that info I'll try it and see if that works. But I recall turning up the FM and then getting blasted out by SAT radio.

    nope...no independent volume.. unless its an option somewhere

    I think the EQ in the stock HU can be adjusted for each item. But I didnt see an adjustment for volume
