To be 100% sure, you should go pay the $15 to access the Toyota Techinfo site and look at the schematics/pinout. Here is the link: https://techinfo.toyota.com.

Your on the right track but be careful. In my picture there is another blue wire across from it on the connector. That is why you need to look for pin 52 on the correct side.

Here is a better picture when I removed the connector to look at the pin 52.
I included the schematic of the connector for reference.

Ignore my earlier comment in the old pic.
Looks like you were up to the challenge. Great job.

My photos got messed up in the earlier post here with the new site.

For the record, the A pillar is a thousand times easier.

chickenhawk, as you can see from rrg's photo, there are many blue wires from/to that ECU... the best way to determine if you got the right one is to get a multi-meter and test the wire, or use rrg method.

GPG- you have a model III and that more than likely means there are even more wires going to that ECU and unless you find 52 you will likely need to test the wire too as I mentioned above.

Yes, it's a royal pain to find it in the back of the connector.

As long as you disconnect the battery to not set off the airbags, the A piller appears to be 100x easier.

Didn't do the A pillar myself, so can't comment on that, but definitely did remove connector 2A from the ECU to make it more manageable to work on.

I received mine and even though they gave the factory instructions to provide "special attention" they are not perfect. There is a distint paint drip on the one cover and the other looks like it has a defect in the clear coat.

I also noticed, that while they did use the correct 070 white, they did not add the 071 pearlessence over it. So while it is white, it doesn't match the car perfectly. It will fine when installed as they don't sit right next to the other white parts.

i see there is a yellow clip on the connector.. do i have to take that off before taking connector off ? I will try to attempt it this week. also i notice the signal light is bearly noticeable during daytime. i wished they used brighter led or more led in the setup for the signal. once sun starts setting the car looks bitchin.. This mod really makes it stand out real NICE!

I'm also looking for the other PC mirror mods on my commute.

As for the paint, mine was good and matched but by the view of the over spray on the back cover, it appeared that no clear coat was used.

Hey! Regarding the mirror covers, I was underneath my mirrors the other day on the outside of my car (fiddling around in my garage) and I noticed that there is a "tab" sticking out on the bottom of both mirror covers. It LOOKS like the tab on both mirrors should be sticking into some slot INSIDE the mirrors, but they just missed the slot on both mirrors so that the tabs are sticking out on the bottom of the mirrors. Is there some "tab" on the bottom of the mirror covers that sticks out onto the bottom of the mirror housing? or have they just missed the slot on both mirrors that those tabs are supposed to stick onto?
